The forest road in Ennerdale is like a skating rink. Foresters close down tree harvesting, its too dangerous to get around

Anglers crag is gripped in snow and ice, The coast to coast path is treacherous. You need Ice axe and crampons to walk round the lake.
Thre rain turns the icy road into a slip pan. Suppiers can't deliver to the YHA hostel. A land rover slips off the road in Wasdale and almost rolls into the lake.
Its the end of January before we are able to move the rest off our possessions out of Ennerdale.
