Wastwater YHA, Wasdale. This stunning location on the shores of Wastwater makes a superb base for Mountain Leader Training and Assessments. All our training areas are in walking distance of the Youth Hostel, so we do not spend hours driving around the countryside.

Mountain Leader Training Registration
Before you book onto a Mountain Leader training course, make sure you have done the following:
- You must be registered on the scheme
- You must have recorded a minimum of 20 Quality Mountain Days (ideally on DLOG) which can have taken place at any point (pre- or post-registration).

Skills Courses and Adventure Days
Navigation Skills. These courses are designed to cater for all ages and abilities. Very hands on. Take a map for a walk. £85 pp.

NNAS (National Navigation Award Scheme) Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. These are certificated awards and the Gold is a similar standard to Summer Mountain Leader navigation.
